Works great. Saves time.

I am really pleased with this transfer pump. With it looking and behaving more like an actual fuel pump and handle it makes pilling up equipment easier. The pumps 5GPM speeds things right along. The company is sending you options for a power source. DC or AC. I was really please with how long the AC power cable was.

Very cool

All this pop is absolutely amazing. I had to modify to fit into a 25 gallon tote but with a little bit of PVC pipe made it great plenty of gas flow for it makes it super easy to fill up. My Atv is a lawnmower with it now highly recommend this electric pump.

Decent drum pump but a bit expansive for what you get

This drum pump works well and fits a standard 55-gallon drum. It includes the barrel bung and even a pair of gloves, which is a nice touch.I like that it can run either from a 12V battery using the included clamps or from a regular wall outlet, so it is pretty flexible depending on where you are using it.The flow rate is a little slower than another pump I own, but it is still fast enough for transferring diesel, water-based fluids, antifreeze, and similar liquids. My main complaint is the price. It feels a bit expensive considering how much of the pump is plastic. Long-term durability is also still unknown, so I will have to see how well it holds up with regular use.Overall, it is a versatile pump with useful power options and decent performance, just not the best value if you are comparing it strictly on build materials.

light weight it is easy to move when switching to a different barrel.

This electric 55 gallon pump works on 120 V & 12V DC. It is ok for light duty use. It does the same job as the more expensive ones built of metal. Being light weight it is easy to move when switching to a different barrel. It self primes, and runs quietly. Flow rate is a bit slower than the more expensive ones. I wouldn't use it for everyday use.You only need to attach the hose and nozzle and it is ready to use. it comes with a bung wrench, barrel cover and a pair of gloves. The only problem was the hose was kinked where they folded it to put in the box. I put a hose clamp around that spot to straighten it out.All in all it does what it says and is reasonably priced.I rate it at 4 stars.

Easy to set up and use.

The quality is ok for light duty. Not much metal in the build. Lightweight. Good fit on the 55 gallon drums. This is being used for Recycle and biodiesel. What makes it nice is the portability. How easy it is to use. And the fact you have a choice between 12v and 120v.It self primes, and runs quietly. Flow rate is more on the slower side. The value is going to be subjective. I wouldn't use it for heavy duty purposes. It would be nice if it had a good fuel filter.

Handy drum transfer pump, but fluid compatibility matters

This electric drum pump is a useful option for transferring fluids from 55-gallon drums without having to tip or manually siphon them. The telescopic tube, 5 GPM flow rate, and ability to run on 110V AC or 12V DC make it practical for shop, garage, farm, or equipment use.It offers good value for moving DEF, diesel, antifreeze, detergents, water-based fluids, and light oils more cleanly and efficiently. The main drawback is that you still need to check fluid compatibility carefully and avoid using it with anything outside the rated applications.Overall, it’s a convenient transfer pump for drum and barrel use, especially if you regularly handle bulk fluids.

Works Well

This is a nice pump and overall feels like a good-quality unit. It moves a surprisingly large amount of liquid pretty quickly, so it gets the job done without having to stand around waiting forever. The flow is strong and consistent, and so far it has worked exactly as I expected. The construction seems solid enough, and it gives me the impression that it should be dependable and last for quite a while with normal use. Nothing about the operation has given me any concerns so far.My only real hesitation is the price. While the pump works very well, the physical construction doesn’t necessarily feel expensive enough to completely justify what they’re charging for it. I’d be much more enthusiastic about the value if the price were a little lower.Overall, though, this is a good pump. It moves liquid quickly, feels dependable, and seems well made. I just think it’s priced a little higher than the construction warrants.

Pumps fast and fits a wide variety of barrels/drums. Works with diesel, ethanol, kerosene, more.

This drum pump functions very well when used with either the 55 gallon drum or the 42 gallon barrel. It has worked for me with diesel and ethanol and kerosene. It seems to work with a variety of fluids and the plastic has not degraded. Installation is simple because it just drops right into the drum or Barrel and clips to the side or can be locked in the top. Power is DC voltage which is nice because it's low volts and safe and that connection is made far from the fuel. I always have 12 volt batteries in the shop near where the drums are to power such devices and with the alligator clamps included it's just a matter of connecting them to the positive and negative and I've got lots of power. It pumps very fast and works very well. It has good control at the nozzle from The Squeeze trigger. It fits in the various sized barrels making it useful for multiple fuels in the same application. The cost of the item is lowest compared to what I've seen them at the farm supply type stores so I do believe it's a good value as well. I find mine extremely useful and very well made.

It's a nice pump that's a little overpriced

It came well packed and in good condition. I only have one barrel that I use this on but I think it is a good quality pump. I use it with a 55-gallon steel barrel, but I know it will also work with plastic drums. It fits the barrel well, and the flow rate is pretty fast. It's definitely easier than the manual pump I have. The flexible hose works well, and the nozzle is easy to control. The suction tube is long enough for this type of barrel and reaches the bottom. I have not had any leaks or issues. Overall it's a quality pump at an acceptable price. The price was $169.97, which isn't the greatest price, but it is a nice pump. At a better price, I would have given it 5-stars. I would say that it may be worth the price if you are using it very frequently. If you aren't using it frequently, then that just depends on what it's worth to you. For almost $170, I would probably shop around a little more to see if there is a better deal.

Dual powered and functions well

The media could not be loaded. I bought this electric drum pump to make transferring fluids easier, and overall I’m impressed with the flow rate. My tank has a 2 1/2-inch bung hole, which is slightly larger than the 2 1/4-inch end on the pump, so I’ll need to get a reducer to fit it properly. I was still able to set the pump in place and test it, and it had a good, steady flow rate that should make transferring fluids much quicker than doing it manually.I also really like that this pump supports both 110V AC and 12V DC power. The dual-voltage setup makes it more versatile and portable, especially when I need to take it with me and don’t have access to an outlet. The telescoping tube is convenient for different drum levels, and the pump was easy to operate during my test. I’m giving it 4 stars mainly because I need an additional reducer for my tank, but once I have the right fitting, I think this will be a very useful pump to have on hand and the price makes it a good value.

No more hand cranking pump. this one beats it..

This pump does a great job moving large quantity of oil from our holding tanks into equipment. We have added a flow meter between the dispenser and hose to get even more precise measurement of liquid flowing (search for GH-5640).. the portability of this unit is great feature. Compact and powerful ... and running it of electricity or battery power make its very portable. No more hand cranking to move liquid..

Great High-Flow Pump for 55-Gallon Drums

This drum pump is a really useful addition if you regularly need to transfer liquids from 55-gallon drums. The 5 GPM flow rate makes moving larger amounts of liquid much faster than trying to use a small hand pump.I really like the telescopic tube because it makes the pump more versatile with different drum sizes and liquid levels. The ability to use either 110V AC or 12V DC power is also a big advantage. It gives you the flexibility to use it in a shop, garage, or other location where you may not have the same power source available. It's designed for several different types of fluids, including DEF, diesel, water-based fluids, antifreeze, detergents, and light oils, which makes it useful for more than one application. I like having one pump that can handle several of the liquids I work with rather than needing a separate pump for everything. The pump is straightforward to use, and the higher flow rate saves quite a bit of time when transferring fluid from a drum into another container.Overall, this is a very handy pump for shop, garage, farm, or maintenance use. The 5 GPM flow rate, telescoping tube, and dual AC/DC power options make it a versatile tool for transferring fluids from larger drums.

Works well so far

Electric Drum Pump - 55 Gallon, 5 GPM High Flow, Telescopic Tube, Barrel & Drum Transfer Pump for DEF, Diesel, Water-based Fluids, Antifreeze, Detergents and Light Oils, 110V AC/12V DCI noticed this says it works for diesel fuel, but it doesn’t say “gasoline”. It also doesn’t say to not use it for gasoline. My intent is to use this for my race fuel. Previously I’ve been pumping out of a 55 gallon drum by hand and this should be much easier. It seems to reach all the way to the bottom of the drum and worked to transfer 15 gallons from the drum into cans. The question I suppose is whether or not the seals will degrade from gasoline. I will come back and update if there are any issues
